Presentation of the chalet

Located at 600m from Fontcouverte in the Haute Vallée de la Clarée, the hamlet of La Chalanchette is in the middle of the forest on a private road.
Starting point of many family or sport hikes like the Lake of Laramon or the peak of the White Lake.

The lighting is provided by solar energy, USB plugs are available to charge your portable devices. And on request a 24/220 volts converter can be proposed to you to charge a laptop or other small equipment.

We will give you a pass for the duration of your stay allowing you to access the upper Clarée valley by car. Those who prefer public transport will also find a bus stop less than 600m from the hamlet.

Good to know : the Haute Vallée de la Clarée does not have a cell phone antenna or a wifi internet network.

Interior presentation of the chalet

The interior of the chalet is divided on 2 levels, the ground floor where you will find the living room, 2 individual bedrooms with double beds, 2 bathrooms with toilets, a kitchen, and a large terrace. On the first floor you will find a large room of 60m2 with a double bed and 2 single beds as well as a relaxation area.

Powered by a solar panel, the interior electrical network is low voltage (24 volts).
Hot water is provided by 2 gas water heaters.

The ground floor consists of 2 bedrooms, 2 shower rooms with toilets, a kitchen, and a dining room.

A large entrance allows you to store your belongings, and to dry them if needed thanks to the wood stove.

  • Gas stove with 3 burners + a gas oven

  • A 100 liter gas fridge with a 30 liter freezer compartment
  • Outdoor gas grill

The first floor of the chalet offers a large room of 40m2 with a double bed, 2 single beds and a reading corner.

    *You are required to return the chalet in the same condition as you found it on arrival, this fee is charged only if you fail to do so.

  • Deposit

    1000€
    A check of 1000€ will be required as a deposit. Any equipment destroyed or missing will be subject to a deduction from the deposit.
